Denture Aftercare Tips

Sore Spots

It’s common to experience sore spots as you adjust to your new dentures. If this happens, please contact us. We’ll bring you in as soon as possible for an adjustment.

Denture Glue

Depending on the support from your ridge, you might find denture adhesive helpful. We can advise on whether this is a good option for you.

Eating

Begin with soft foods cut into small pieces. Chew slowly and use both sides of your mouth.

Cleaning

Clean your dentures daily using a soft brush and denture cleaner, and rinse them after every meal.

Soaking

Always soak your dentures overnight in water or a denture-soaking solution. This helps maintain their shape.

Oral Hygiene

Each morning, brush your gums, tongue, and roof of your mouth before inserting your dentures.

Nighttime

Do not wear your dentures while sleeping. This gives your gums a chance to rest and prevents potential damage.

Follow-Up
